NIMS - Command and General Staff for Local Incident Management Teams
I would like to announce the scheduling of the Command and General Staff for Local Incident Management Teams Class to MONTGOMERY COUNTY. This class in IS 300/400 equivalent and focuses on the duties of the Incident Commander, Safety Officer, Liaison Officer, Public Information Officer, Operations,Planning, Logistics and Finance /Admin Sections Chiefs.
The class will be held August 6 from 6-10 PM, August 7-8 from 8 AM - 5 PM daily and the same schedule will be repeated on the second weekend August 13-15. The class location is in Nokomis, IL and will be announced depending on numbers - most likely the class will be at the Fire Station 22 1/2 South Cedar Street
This class focuses on the development of the ICS system and incident action plans specifically and is mandated by the NIMS process for chief officers and any who might serve in a leadership capacity at a large incident where ICS is used.
