CANCELLED - 5 Day Hostage Negotiation & Crisis Intervention

This course will cover the tactics, techniques and procedures needed for successful crisis negotiations. Topics include team structure, effective communication, obtaining and managing intelligence, mental illness and suicide intervention, and much more.

The training will be presented by Mark Lowther, a US Marine Corps veteran with 30 years in public safety. He served as a SWAT hostage negotiator for a major portion of his career and has personally been involved in numerous threatened suicide and SWAT negotiations, including barricaded gunmen and hostage incidents. Lt. Lowther also served as a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) officer, instructor and training coordinator.
