Description: 

This course will give law enforcement, corrections, campus police and government officials important insight into the Sikh, Muslim and Transgender communities. Participants will learn about cultural sensitivities, customs and religious beliefs, best practices for engagement, and better methods of communication that can strengthen relationships with unique populations. Civil rights issues that impact these groups will also be addressed. The course will be facilitated by the U.S. Department of Justice, Community Relations Service.
