Description: 

This comprehensive 40-hour program will cover techniques necessary to effectively manage death and homicide investigations — from initial crime scene examination and evidence collection through autopsy, suspect interviews, media management, and successful prosecution.  Learn state-of-the-art techniques from an ex-Commander of a Major Crimes Task Force, a highly experienced Prosecutor, and a leading Cyber Crimes Investigator.  Instruction will feature interactive lecture, presentation of actual case histories, and statutes specific to Illinois.  This course is specifically designed to meet Illinois requirements set forth in Public Act 96-1111 for Lead Homicide Investigator Certification.
