Submitted by mwatson on Thu, 09/07/2017 - 11:46am Event Info Date: Friday, May 4, 2018 - 8:00am to 4:00pmDescription: This program covers the concepts and practical application of Tactical Emergency Casualty Care (TECC) and Officer-Citizen High Threat Casualty Extraction. Students will learn how to treat the most commonly encountered wound patterns and how to plan and execute a citizen rescue. Scenario-based exercises will allow each student to apply critical lifesaving skills in a dynamic patrol-based setting. On completion of the course, each participant will receive a North American Rescue Products Individual Patrol Officer Kit (IPOK) for duty use. Each sealed kit contains: One C-A-T Combat Application Tourniquet, an ETD Emergency Trauma Dressing, a packet of Z-Fold Gauze, and a pair of trauma gloves. Students are required to bring their duty belt/gear and wear clothing appropriate for physically demanding scenario training. Due to the hands-on nature of this training, course enrollment will be limited to thirty (30) officers.
