Description: 

This course will highlight recent changes to county jail standards and will provide useful information for reducing exposure to civil and criminal liability.  Course objectives include improving safety for staff and detainees; protecting the civil and legal rights of staff and detainees; and encouraging the efficient management of county jails and municipal lockups. This training will benefit all levels of county corrections, including line officers, supervisors, jail superintendents, and sheriffs.  The course will be conducted by Dianne Fritschle from the Illinois Department of Corrections, Detention Standards Unit.
