The Attorney General's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Commander, Ron Wolflick, has requested that ILEAS let everyone know about a current ICAC job opening. The Illinois ICAC / Office of the IL Attorney General is actively recruiting to fill the position of Internet Safety Specialist (ISS). The position is an Internet Safety Specialist located in the High Tech Crimes Bureau out of the Springfield Office. The salary is commensurate with experience. Under the supervision of the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Commander, the Internet Safety Specialist will develop and deliver internet safety programs to students, parents and the general public on all aspects of internet safety. Additionally, the Internet Safety Specialist will assist the High Tech Crimes Bureau in the evaluation and revision of internet safety materials, including PowerPoint presentations and internet websites. This position will require travel and, at times, overnight stays throughout Illinois. The position will also include assisting in the daily operation and reporting procedures of the High Tech Crimes Bureau. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and experience with public speaking or classroom instruction.
