The Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System is seeking an ideal candidate to fill the position of Regional Planning Coordinator, to primarily serve the emergency preparedness and response needs of law enforcement agencies located in Northern Cook, Lake and McHenry Counties. The individual selected for this position will act as the liaison between ILEAS and the departments assigned. This position is best suited for an individual with extensive law enforcement command level experience and is familiar with the region. In order to avoid an unreasonable amount of travel, candidates’ residency within the served region will be an important consideration.
The selected candidate will maintain a home office to accomplish many of the position responsibilities, will be available to travel in his/her personal vehicle within the described region, and will occasionally be available to travel to other locations within the State of Illinois. The Regional Planning Coordinator is considered to be a full time position with very flexible work hours.
Annual salary and benefits offered for full time employment include:
- Salary for full-time: $59,941/annually
- Paid Time Off: 24 days (includes all use of time off; sick, vacation, personal, etc)
- Jury Duty Leave: As summoned
- Holidays: 12
- Unemployment Insurance
- Workers Compensation Insurance
- Travel Reimbursement: Same as for State of Illinois Employees for authorized travel
