ILEAS Accepting Applications for Regional Planning Coordinator Position

The Illinois Law Enforcement Alarm System is seeking an ideal candidate to fill the position of Regional Planning Coordinator, to primarily serve the emergency preparedness and response needs of law enforcement agencies located in Lake, McHenry and North Cook County.

The ideal candidate will maintain a home office to accomplish many of the position responsibilities, will be available to travel in his/her personal vehicle within the described region, and will occasionally be available to travel to other locations within the State of Illinois.    In order to avoid an unreasonable amount of travel, candidates’ residency within the served region will be an important consideration. Please refer to the attached Job Description for additional detail on the position responsibilities. 

The Regional Planning Coordinator is considered to be a full time position. Employment conditions are considered FLSA exempt, and work hours are very flexible.  Please note that grant funding for the position is available through June 2023, with no guarantees for funding further ahead.

Annual salary and benefits offered for full time employment include:

  • Salary for full-time:  $55,412 annually
  • Paid Time Off: 24 days (includes all use of time off; sick, vacation, personal, etc)
  • Jury Duty Leave: As summoned
  • Holidays: 11
  • Unemployment Insurance
  • Workers Compensation Insurance
  • Travel Reimbursement:  Same as for State of Illinois Employees for authorized travel
