ILEAS is proud and honored to award and recognize a number of member agencies for their participation and completion of the Agency Preparedness Program.

On 06 June 2016, Chief James Dunne of the Wheeling Police Department was presented the ILEAS Agency Preparedness Award at the Wheeling Village Board Meeting by ILEAS Regional Planning Coordinator, Jim Hutton. ILEAS commends Deputy Chief Todd Wolf, and Commander Richard Benbow for their efforts in successfully completing all components of the application.

In May 2016, The Wood Dale Police Department was awarded the ILEAS Agency Preparedness Award. Chief Greg Vesta announced at a staff meeting that their police department has received this award. Along with Chief Vesta, ILEAS would like to recognize Support Service Manager, Craig Celia, for his work on this program.

On 28 June 2016, Chief Thomas Guenther and The College of Lake County Police will be presented The ILEAS Agency Preparedness Award. RPC Jim Hutton will present the award to Chief Guenther at The Lake County College Trustee Meeting. Deputy Chief Kevin Grampo and Division Manager Kevin Lowery assisted in the successful completion of the essential elements of this program.

ILEAS believes the Agency Preparedness Program sets a good foundation for the challenge of readiness. ILEAS hopes to improve and expand upon the Program annually by adding relevant objectives to help your agency stay current and maintain preparedness for years to come. Executive Director Jim Page and the entire ILEAS Staff commend your participation in the ILEAS Agency Preparedness Program. Since inception, ILEAS has remained committed to enhancing Law Enforcement mutual aid through it’s motto: “Strength through Cooperation”. We feel this program is another way agencies can prepare themselves before disaster strikes, in order to come to aid of the citizens they serve.
