ILEAS Hires New Chief of Staff

On July 1, 2015, ILEAS hired a new Chief of Staff.  The former Chief of Staff, Pat Carey, retired and was replaced temporarily by Jim Luecking.  Luecking recently stepped back to his role as the Special Teams Manager.  After seeking qualified candidates and conducting interviews and backgrounds, ILEAS hired Larry Evans as the new Chief of Staff.  Larry retired in 2014 as Chief of the Centralia Police Department after 26 years of service.  He has been an active member with ILEAS since 2005 serving as a Regional Board member from Region 9 and later on the Executive Board as Secretary, Treasurer and President.  Larry had previously served in two branches of the military as an infantryman and aviator.  He has a Master’s of Business Administration from Lindenwood University and is a graduate of the 217th Session of the FBI National Academy.  In this new role, Larry will act as an Assistance Executive Director and will focus on staff management/development, policies and budget.
