On Labor Day, September 3, 2018, ILEAS Mobile Field Force team members from Region 4 North and Region 4 South assisted the Illinois State Police and the Chicago Police Department by keeping protestors from blocking the Interstate in the Chicago area. Anti-violence protestors planned to obstruct traffic on the Kennedy Expressway which feeds O'Hare Airport. About a dozen protestors were arrested without incident. Those remaining were not allowed on the highway. There were no injuries and all the agencies involved, ILEAS, NIPAS, ISP, CPD, Park Ridge and others worked together very well.
