Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force Computer Tech Openings Available

ILEAS has been asked by the Internet Crimes Against Children Director in the Illinois Attorney General's Office to post that they have three (3) openings for Computer Evidence Recovery Technicians located in the Springfield area.  The Computer Evidence Recovery Technician will conduct forensic examinations of electronic evidence. Additionally, a CERT will be required to provide technical support to investigators and prosecutors, assist law enforcement and prosecutorial agencies in high tech investigations and prosecutions, design and present training programs.

This position requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in a computer related field or equivalent experience in law enforcement or computer forensics. Ideally, candidates will have significant exposure to law enforcement practices and techniques, particularly related to evidence handling. Relevant certifications are preferred. Attendance and the ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public is an essential function of this position. Recent college graduates with a computer science or related computer field are encouraged to apply.
