As we have posted on our web page and mentioned in statewide emails, ILEAS continues to manage a grant from the IL. Department of Public Health to provide NARCAN to law enforcement and fire agencies. Prior to now, the distribution has been limited to specific counties. However, ILEAS is now authorized to expand this grant virtually statewide. We have NARCAN on hand that needs to be distributed. Receiving the NARCAN is conditioned on undergoing a short standardized online training session and signing a short agreement that outlines the conditions of the grant. Not every agency is eligible because they are covered under other IDPH grants in their geographic areas.
