National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) Targeting School Violence Training Repeat

On June 29, 2021, the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) will host a free virtual event on Averting Targeted School Violence: A U.S. Secret Service Analysis of Plots Against Schools from 11:00p-2:30p CT.  It will feature the findings from NTAC’s research, an in-depth case study, and guest speakers from the National Police Foundation, National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO), and a personal account of an averted attack by a mental health professional.  This encore showing will be broadcast when schools are not in session, and we are hoping to reach school district personnel who were unable to view the material when it was released on March 30, 2021. Our goal is to ensure this invitation reaches teachers, school administrators, school resource officers (SROs), and school psychologists, in addition to law enforcement, community mental health professionals, and others who play a role in community violence prevention.

Please join the U.S. Secret Service National Threat Assessment Center (NTAC) for a presentation on our latest study, Averting Targeted School Violence: A U.S. Secret Service Analysis of Plots Against Schools. This study examines 67 disrupted plots against K-12 schools and highlights the importance of proactive reporting and intervention.  This presentation is a replay of a previously broadcast live event from March 30, 2021. Click here to register.
