Voting for the new Governing Board closed on March 13th at 1500. This new Board will serve until march of 2017. Now that all the votes are counted, we can announce the new ILEAS Govering Board:

By the numbers:
- 89 chiefs and sheriffs were nominated
- 41 of them declined & one was disqualified
- 47 candidates ran for 16 positions
- 235 agencies voted in the general electio of of 670 - 40% turn out rate
- 467 votes were cast
- 1 withdrew after the election started and one winner withdrew after the election was complete
- there were two ties - one was resolved by one of the candidates backing out - the second was resolved by a coin toss
- 12 brand new ILEAS Governing Board Members will meet for the first time on April 28th at the Crowne Plaza in Springfield at the ILEAS Annual Conference.
