Longtime ILEAS staff member and former Champaign Police Chief James Luecking passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023. Jim was a stalwart at ILEAS for over a decade, building the special teams program. Much of what is done today to support the state of Illinois in this arena is a result of his hard work. Jim was at ILEAS from June of 2005 until December of 2016, including a stint as both special teams manager and chief of staff. The ILEAS family extends its condolences to his family, and we salute his service to the law enforcement community. |
