The course will focus on the stress and trauma that impacts first responders and how stress can lead to the deterioration of the body and the impact on mental health. The training is designed for administrators, supervisors, officers, and civilian employees and will teach attendees how to manage their mental health, the benefits of annual physicals, exercise and nutrition.

The program will be presented by Vernon Herron, Director of Officer Safety and Wellness at the Baltimore Police Department. In this position, Mr. Herron manages the Office of Early Intervention as well as the Office of Health and Wellness, which promotes both, physical and mental health through training, seminars and health publications.
