The Bureau of Justice Assistance VALOR Officer Safety Initiative was created in response to the startling increase in felonious assaults on law enforcement officers. VALOR is a comprehensive effort including classroom and web-based training, research and resources for state and local law enforcement officers. VALOR partners with several national organizations such as the FBI, International Association of Chiefs of Police, ACP, National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, National Sheriffs' Association and others.
